The financial situation of the World is in a state very similar to the football situation of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Or maybe the Panthers--we have all the tools to fix our financial issues, and yet, we still let ourselves be led by Cam Newton. We are so silly and how we spend our money is backwards. We, as a culture, have no concept of fiscal priority--how else could Justin Bieber be a top selling artist and Starbucks a super-successful coffe-making company?
For example, today, driving to the bookstore, I spent a large majority of the time driving poorly. I was on the phone with girlfriend. We were discussing dinner options.
We are dining separately tonight, and as such, we're eating out. It's a very similar situation to how we dine when we're together.
I advised her that, even when we're not together, we should start eating-in more. We need to become more familiar with the grocery store, and it's many-splendored aisles. (As do most people our age--there are a variety of polls and different types of research that are being talked about on the subject.)
So, as I am so often prone to do, I went into spiel about how we could manage money better and big part of that was not eating out and blah, blah, blah. So now she doesn't want to eat out because she feels bad and I'm drinking a five dollar coffee that I don't particularly love the taste of.
